Mike Gunn

Mike Gunn's history is as interesting and entertaining as his comedy. He’s been a successful stand-up comedian for over 15 years, but his road to success was a rocky one involving a misspent youth, a heroin addiction spanning 15 years and a stint in a psychiatric unit. Thankfully his sordid past is long behind him; but it cultivated a deeply cynical outlook and a perverse desire led him into the world of stand-up. A self-confessed pessimist, he describes himself as "not a natural choice for a career in laughter". The evidence however, might suggest otherwise. For well over a decade Mike has been firmly established as one of the most sought-after and accomplished comedians working on the UK and international circuit. An original talent, distinguished by his trademark laconic and lugubrious dark humour, killer punch lines and masterful delivery. Mike headlines at all the major clubs in the UK and has performed all across the globe, in the Middle and Far East, and as far afield as New Zealand and Australia; completing a five week sell out season at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He has also entertained the troops in the Falkland Islands.

Rich Wilson

International comedian Rich Wilson is one of the countries finest comedians and popularly regarded as the UK’s best MC’s by many top comedians, such as Frank Skinner, Richard Herring and Sarah Millican. Rich has been “winning over audiences in seconds” at all the major UK comedy clubs (Just the Tonic, The Comedy Store, The Comedy Cafe, Big Night Out), has entertained audiences in New York, Las Vegas and for 5 years was part of the CSE, Entertaining for the troops in the Middle East. He has also performed sell out shows at tonnes of major comedy festivals including Perth Fringe, Melbourne International, Edinburgh Fringe and is a firm favourite at the New Zealand Comedy Festival. Rich was also part of a show that got nominated for the “Best Show” at the Perth International Comedy Festival in 2016 with “Best Of British” and “The Comedy Ashes.” With his stylish delivery, Rich has the unique ability to be able to tame the toughest audiences in the country with his commanding presence and impeccable timing. “Tour-de-force.” Leicester Mercury "A very very funny man" - Frank Skinner

Matt Stellingwerf is a fast rising star on the international comedy scene, and highly regarded by his peers. Matt has won four NZ Comedy Guild Awards, been nominated for several others, and was nominated as Best Newcomer at the 2014 NZ International Comedy Festival. Matt was a 2015 & 2016 nominee for the prestigious Billy T Award. A renowned MC and compere, Matt is a 3-time nominee for Best MC in New Zealand. Hamilton-born and Wanganui-raised farmer's son and trained criminologist, an award-winning bar fly...and genuinely lovely guy, Matt Stellingwerf is a man of contradictions. He expertly brings these contradictions to the stage with his typical low-key style and confidence, finding the humour in topics as diverse as love, mental illness, sex, drugs, and this crazy interview he once conducted with a serial killer on Death Row! Matt now brings a worldview inspired by alcoholic shearing gangs, bizarre Dutch relatives, and criminological theory to the stage and attempts to answer some of life's enduring mysteries. So come along, grab a brew and have a laugh! He has toured extensively, performing throughout NZ, Australia, the USA & the United Kingdom. On television you may have seen him on Maori TV's Crack Up, Rhys Darby's Short Poppies, TV3's AotearoHA: Rising Stars and getting shot with a crossbow in a strip club on TV ONE’s Coverband. Raises the comedy bar...and erudite satire superstar" - Theatreview "Matt Stellingwerf’s show Bachelor of Arts left me feeling vindicated as an educated liberal; empowered as a woman; confused over my personal level of racism; and disappointed with the lack of lateral thinking I approached my tertiary studies with. Stellingwerf’s comedy is intelligent, clever and thoroughly researched...all the while being really likeable" - Libel "...an intellectual ‘Fonze’...extremely laid back and relaxed with the audience, seamlessly having banter and keeping his cool" Keeping Up With NZ "Thor & Wendy had a baby...and it was raised by Stephen Fry & George Carlin!" - Random (but totally awesome and correct) Twitter User
