Chuckl. Aldershot with Rory Bremner, Larry Dean, Nick Page & Adam Morrison

Get ready for an unforgettable night of live comedy at Princes Hall. Following February’s sold out show we return to Aldershot with another incredible comedy club

Featuring three of our favourite headliners, including the magnificent Rory Bremner, Larry Dean, Nick Page and one of the UKs best MCs Adam Morrison

Rory Bremner

As seen on Spitting Image, Bremner, Bird and Fortune, Have I Got News for You, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Mock the Week.

Widely regarded as one of Britain’s leading satirical impressionists, Rory’s known for razor-sharp political comedy and spot-on voices, with multiple awards including three BAFTAs for his long-running Channel 4 satire work, plus TV specials spanning major elections and big political moments.

Larry Dean – As seen on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Roast Battle, Live From the Comedy Store
A fast, fearless, award-winning Scottish comic with a massive presence and a wickedly inventive style. Larry’s picked up major accolades (including Scottish Comedian of the Year) and continues to be a standout on TV, radio and on tour.

Nick Page – As seen on Britain’s Got Talent (live finals)
A “bear-like” storyteller with a life that’s somehow even wilder than his punchlines — Nick’s jaw-dropping true tales and relentless gag-rate have taken him around the world, including gigs for troops in war zones (earning an Operational Service Medal)

Adam Morrison
Kent-based comic (and proud Isle of Sheppey export) whose sets are packed with big laughs and real-life stories — from life in the Royal Navy to the chaos of being a dad of four. He started stand-up in 2012, won “comedian of the night” at his first gig, and hasn’t looked back since.

Rory Bremner

As a mimic, he’s provided definitive impersonations of PMs and Presidents from Major to Mandela, Blair to Brown, Clinton to Cameron and Bush to Trump. As himself, he’s been presenter, writer, quiz-show host, actor, translator and even (briefly) ballroom dancer. (Strictly, 2011. WTF?) Born in Edinburgh on 6 April 1961, Rory was educated at Wellington College and Kings College London, where he gained a BA in French, German and imitating lecturers. He speaks French adequately, German inadequately, and enough Russian to impress you for 90 seconds (unless you’re Russian). By the time he’d graduated in 1984, he was already performing on the London stand-up circuit and at his native Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and got his first TV series with the BBC in 1986. In a TV career of over 30 years, he’s won numerous awards, including 3 BAFTAs for his long-running Channel 4 satire series Bremner Bird & Fortune, featuring Rory and the two Johns. In addition, he’s written and starred in satirical specials covering four elections, the Blair Government, (From Blair to Here, My Government and I) the Iraq War (Between Iraq and a Hard Place, Beyond Iraq and a Hard Place), the financial crisis of 2008 (Silly Money) and -back at the BBC- the Scottish Referendum (Rory Goes to Hollyrood, (2014)) and the Coalition government (Rory Bremner’s Coalition Report, Rory Bremner’s Election Report (2015)). He retraced his family history for Who Do You Think You Are, and travelled all over Britain for the ITV daytime series Rory Bremner’s Great British Views (2012). Meanwhile, he’s guested on many other comedy shows (Whose Line is it Anyway, Spitting Image, Have I Got News for You, and Mock the Week, where he was team captain for two series) He was a regular guest on both Wogan and Parkinson and has frequently appeared on Radio 4’s Newsquiz, The Now Show, Radio Scotland’s Breaking The News and his own shows, Tonight and Bremner’s One Question Quiz. He’s also written diaries & columns for the FT, New Statesman, & Daily Telegraph. In 2013 he made his acting debut alongside Patricia Hodge and Caroline Quentin in Noel Coward’s Relative Values, directed by Trevor Nunn. (Theatre Royal Bath and subsequently West End). In 2018 Rory exhibited his impressionist skills on a weekly basis as regular team captain on ITV’s the Imitation Game. In the same year he re-joined fellow mimic Jan Ravens for a live show at the Edinburgh festival, which went on to do a sell out UK tour. In his spare time (as if) he translates operas and plays from French (Carmen, (Spier Festival) and Orpheus in the Underworld (Scottish Opera)) and German (Kurt Weill’s The Silver Lake, (Broomhill Opera) & The Seven Deadly Sins) and Bertolt Brecht’s A Respectable Wedding (Young Vic)- the latter directed by Joe Hill Gibbons and starring James Corden.

Larry Dean

“He has a wonderful ability to mimic voices, accents and can pull some quite strange faces...a hilarious and surprisingly touching show" - Broadway world "one of the most honest, moving and incredibly funny sets I've seen in a very long time" - THE HERALD "there is no doubt about it, this guy is hilarious. sensational" - michael Mcintyre "An innately gifted and multi-faceted performer"... - CHORTLE.CO.UK ‘Destined to become a household name’ - Telegraph 'Expert observational humour' - Independent

Nick Page

With some comics there’s a moment where you ask yourself ‘I wonder how much of this is true?’, with Nick Page you might hope it isn’t true, but somehow know that it is, mostly. His shows are full to bursting with stories from a life lived on the edge of (self inflicted) disaster. In his shows there are no songs, props or padding, just stories packed with jokes from start to finish. The Guardian Newspaper described him as ‘ A bear like man with a host of barely believable stories about life, love and brushes with the law’. In the last few years he has won the prestigious title ‘English Comedian of the Year’, performed at comedy festivals in 3 continents and been awarded the Operational Service Medal by the British army for numerous gigs in warzones, doing everything from shows in Camp Bastion and Kandahar for 5000 troops at a time, to being helicoptered to perform for 20 soldiers in a patrol base in the desert. He’s reached the live finals of Britain’s Got Talent despite having never watched the show. A typical week in the UK might see performances in pubs and theatres before a weekend run at a comedy club. Between cruises and expat bookings he’s now performed in over half the world’s countries, and even kept busy during covid lockdown performing over 100 online gigs from a studio in his garage.

Adam Morrison

Before taking to the stage Adam spent time within the Royal Navy. He wasn’t a great sailor but, he was an excellent “sailor”. After leaving the Andrew he fluttered from job to job working in scrap yards to delivering newspapers to working I Sewage treatment to provide for his young family. He is a father to 4 kids who may drive him up the wall but without them he’d be lost. Adam took the plunge into stand up in January 2012 where he performed at the Cavendish Arms Comedy Virgins night. Armed with only a handful of jokes and he won the comedian of the night and the journey had begun. 2012 to 2017 due to lack of funds and a growing family he only had 50 gigs under his belt. This changed when he went to the Made in Kent comedy competition where he came runner up and won a spot at the Woodvile halls in Gravesend January 2018. This was the night that changed his comedy career. Since this night he has performed the length and breadth of the country and on mainland Europe, it is no longer a hobby to him but a necessity to his whole existence. “very funny” Patrick Monahan “One to watch” Stephen K Amos “one of Kents best up and coming comedians” Old Brewery Store Comedy Club Faversham “Formidable live Stand up” Joke Club
